It's Time!

I don't do this very often so please indulge me.



Gough Whitlam is one of Australia's elder statesmen. Some say that in politics he is a defining point. There is Before Gough and After Gough and these two political periods are very different.

In the Melbourne Fringe festival this year there is a one person play called Gough. It is about the man, the dismissal and what happened behind the scenes.

I am fortunate enough to have been cast as Gough. It is exciting and terrifying all at once!!

The plan is to run the Fringe Festival show and when it is successful have a repeat performance after the Fringe and then possibly take it on to Adelaide and Sydney festivals as the Writer/Director has done with his previous show.

To raise funds for the props, the theatre, the set and, most importantly, the wig, the Writer/Director has launched a Pozible campaign. It is close to reaching the target, only $404 to go.

Are You Having Fun Yet?

I know I have written about this before and it is so important that I think it is worth mentioning again.

Too many people put off having fun. For some bizarre reason they believe that FUN is something that happens at home and at work you have to be SERIOUS.

The Minister for Fun once told me:

If it's not fun, don't do it
If you have to do it, make it fun.

Do you wish you had more fun in your life?
Do you want to hear the sound of laughter more (particularly your own)?
Would you like to enjoy what you do more?

Then add some fun.

Fun can be professional, fun can be respectful, fun can be spontaneous, fun can be organised and fun can be here and now.

Like all things, what you focus on is what you achieve, so how can you focus on having more fun?
